Jordyn McCracken joins the NIC coaching staff as an assistant coach. Jordyn’s primary responsibilities will be working with pitchers, hitters, outfield, and recruiting. “I am excited to have Jordyn join our staff. She is a local, former player that grew up around our program and has such a passion for the game of softball. She is a great fit for our team and I look forward to having her continue our tradition of success in our program,” said Don Don Williams, NIC Head Softball Coach. A Lake City High School graduate in 2014, she helped win two State Championships with records of 26-0 and 28-0 during the championship seasons. Jordyn earned all-league honors as a senior and was ASB president.

Jordyn attended Utah State University and graduated with a degree in Human Movement Science with a Pre-Physical Therapy emphasis. Jordyn earned Mountain West Scholar-Athlete all four years at Utah State. She earned NFCA All-American honors in 2015, 2016, and 2017. Jordyn was the recipient of the Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete Award for her four years at Utah State. She also received the Wayne Estes Memorial Award in 2018 for her excellence in leadership, scholarship and citizenship. Jordyn was a part of the pitching staff at Utah State that guided the Aggies to its best season in over 20 years in 2016 with a record of 26-25. In 2017, the Aggies finished the season with a 33-18 overall record and their first postseason appearance in 24 years.

“With Jordyn just finishing her college career she brings experience that can help guide our team and pitching staff to the next level. She is not far removed from the game and that is something she can relate with our players,” said Don Don Williams, NIC Head Softball Coach.

Jordyn is the daughter of Darrel and Teresa McCracken.
