WRESTLING: NIC wrestlers moving on


Alan Badley signs Letter of Intent.
NIC Wrestling has had two wrestlers sign letters of intent to continue their wrestling careers at four-year institutions after this season. Redshirt-Freshman Alan Badley (174) and Sam Peterson (285) have both signed letters of intent to continue their academic and wrestling careers.

Sam Peterson of Bonney Lake, WA has decided to move on to Doane University in Crete, NE. Peterson is leaving NIC with a cumulative GPA of over 3.0 and looks to study engineering there. Peterson went 13-8 this season for the Cardinals. He placed 2nd at the Northwest College Open and 6th at the Battle of the Rockies. Peterson finished the season on a 4 match winning streak.

Alan Badley was an NJCAA national qualifier this season at 174 pounds, and accumulated a record of 20-15 over the year. Badley recently signed with Providence University in Great Falls, Montana to continue his academic and wrestling career. Alan finished 3rd at the Northwest Open, 2nd at the Battle of the Rockies and the West District National Qualifier.
