WRESTLING: Team finishes 9th at NJCAA National Championships


The North Idaho College wrestling team finished their season Saturday, Mar. 7 at the NJCAA Nationals with four All-Americans. The team finished in 9th place after the two-day event. Freshman Sal Silva was the team’s highest place finisher placing third in the 149 weight class. Andrew Lucero, who is also a freshman, finished fourth at 125. Hunter Gregerson finished his career at NIC as a two-time All-American finishing in eighth place at 184. Cohle Feliciano was the team's fourth All-American at 285. Feliciano also received the Bruce Traphagen Award at the national championship. This honor is awarded to the wrestler with the most falls in the least amount of time. Feliciano won the award with five falls in a total of 8 minutes and 35 seconds.
