MEN'S BASKETBALL: Pryor leads Cards to "Border Battle" victor


Nate Pryor pulled off a double-double, leading North Idaho College to an 85-68 victory over the Community Colleges of Spokane Wednesday, Jan. 22 at Christianson Gymnasium in the annual rivalry game. The sophomore guard scored 23 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and handed out nine assists as the Cardinals moved to the top spot in the NWAC East Region with a 7-0 record while the Sasquatch fall to second in the East Region at 7-1.

Sophomores Christian Guess and Emmitt Taylor III each added 14 points apiece while sophomore Yusuf Mohamed finished with a double-double consisting of 10 points and 10 rebounds.

“To hold Spokane to 68 points, 21 below their season average, was huge,” said Head Coach Corey Symons. “The guys really got after it!”

The Cards are back on the road this Saturday, Jan. 25 at Yakima Valley College to face the 3rd place ranked (5-2 conference) Yaks. Tip-off at 4:00 p.m.
