MEN’S SOCCER: Cards lose closer game to WVC than 3-0 score appears

It was a disappointing home loss for Cardinal men's soccer team as they suffered a 3-0 loss to Wenatchee Valley College Wednesday at NIC’s Eisenwinter Field. NIC (2-3-1) created chances and pressured the Knights for the entire 90 minutes, but couldn't find the back of the net as Wenatchee Valley (2-1-1) capitalized on opportunities to secure the win.

NIC trailed Wenatchee Valley only 1-0 at the half and used athleticism, speed, and key defensive moments to pepper the Knights’ goal with shots from Dorian Cornichuck, Shane Watkins, and Mac Stultz. Unfortunately for the Cardinals, none could find the back of the net.

NIC will be back on the road for the next two matches, heading to Pendleton, OR to take on Blue Mountain on Friday the 20th at 4:15pm, and then heading to Ontario, Oregon, to play Treasure Valley Community College at 1:15 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21.
