WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Lady Cardinals struggle on the road


The North Idaho College women’s basketball team traveled to Pasco, WA and lost to Columbia Basin College, 67-60, on Wednesday, February 27.  The Lady Cardinals struggled to score, shooting well below their season averages in every category.  Heidi Sellmann, however, connected on 8-11 attempts and finished with 20 points.  Alivia Williams added 12 points.  Point guard, Alex Carlton, led all players with 12 rebounds.

The Lady Cardinals (20-8, 10-6) finish as the fourth seed from the highly competitive NWAC Eastern Region and will take on the yet to be determined number one seed from the North at the NWAC tournament.  The Lady Cardinals are ranked sixth in the entire NWAC with the other three representative from the East occupying the number two, three, and five spots.  The first and second rounds of the NWAC Championships will be held in Everett, WA at Everett Community College on March 9-10.  The men will play on March 7-8.  Information on the tournament can be found at
