WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Balanced attack beats CBC


The North Idaho College women’s basketball team made key team adjustments in the second quarter to erase a 10 point deficit and beat Columbia Basin College, 83-66, at home on Monday, January 21.  Freshman, Alex Carlton, finished with 17 points and 5 rebounds.  Sophomore, Heidi Sellmann, finished with 16 points and 7 rebounds.  Freshman, Alivia Williams, finished with 16 points and 3 assists.   Freshman, Keara Simpson finished with 11 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals.  Freshman, Anna Schrade, led all players with 10 rebounds.  An overall, great team effort is credited for the win with NIC outrebounding CBC 44-21 and dishing out 16 assists.

The Lady Cardinals (14-4, 4-2) travel to the Community Colleges of Spokane on Wednesday, January 23.  The game will take place at Spokane Community College, N 1810 Greene St, Spokane WA.  Tip-off is at 5:30 PM and is followed by the men’s game.  Both games can be viewed at
