WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Lady Cardinals dominate Blue Mountain


The North Idaho College women’s basketball team had six players score in double figures in route to a 81-24 victory over Blue Mountain Community College on Saturday, February 16.  Freshman, Anna Schrade, led all players in scoring with 16 points while pulling down 7 rebounds.  Freshman, Keara Simpson, controlled the glass with 17 rebounds while scoring 11 points and dishing out a game high 6 assists.  Freshman, Sydnie Peterson, added 13 points and 6 rebounds.  Freshman, Alex Carlton, turned up the defensive pressure and tallied 6 steals and 10 points.  Freshman, Alivia Williams, and sophomore, Heidi Sellman, added 11 points each.  NIC outrebounded BMCC 56-43 and forced them into 22 turnovers. 

NIC (18-6, 8-4) travels to Walla Walla Community College (17-8, 7-6) on Monday, February 18.  Tip-off at 2:00 PM and is followed by the men’s game.  Both games can be viewed at
