MEN'S BASKETBALL: Balanced scoring leads to big road victory

Seven Cardinals scored in double figures in a 137-69 victory over Big Bend CC Saturday afternoon in Pendleton, Oregon. Alphonso Anderson led the way with 22 points and 11 rebounds. The sophomore was 10 of 13 from the field as NIC shot a blistering 67% from the field. Sophomore Jared Green, second in the NWAC  in field goal percentage at 69%, continued that trend by hitting 10 of 11 for his 20 points to go along with 7 rebounds as the Cards out rebounded the Timberwolves 58-17. Others in double figures include freshman Emmitt Taylor III 17, sophomore RayQuan Evans 16, freshman James Carlson 16 points 5 rebounds, freshman Jaden Dewar 14 points 9 rebounds, freshman Yusuf Mohamed 10 points. Freshman Nate Pryor paced the Cardinals with a game-high 10 assists.

"I was very happy with the effort of the entire squad," said Head Coach Corey Symons. "Everybody came to play and it showed."
