North Idaho College rebounded from a tough loss Thursday night with a 68-58 victory over a familiar SWAC foe in the Fiesta Bowl Junior College Shootout in Mesa, Arizona.

The Cards, ranked #1 in the NWAC Coach’s poll, topped NJCAA 12th ranked Snow College 68-58 Friday night, a day after losing a hard-fought 69-68 game to the host Mesa Thunderbirds.

Sophomore Nate Pyror led the charge against the ((13-2) Badgers with a game-high 27 points. Sophomores Ray Quan Evans and Alphonso Anderson each chipped in 13 points apiece. Evans adding 7 rebounds while Anderson, pulled down 9 boards in a fine effort off the bench. Freshman Phillip Malatare, inserted into the starting lineup, provided the necessary spark with 9 points and 9 rebounds.

“I was really pleased with the way the guys come back from a tough loss,” said Head Coach Corey Symons. “We really played hard.”
