NIC ATHLETICS HOMECOMING TRIPLEHEADER OCT 24

10/17/2018

The NIC Athletics Department will be hosting the annual Homecoming on Wednesday, October 24, featuring a barbeque, soccer and volleyball tripleheader, and free t-shirts to all attendees! Homecoming festivities begin at noon with a free barbeque to all NIC students, NIC employees and NIC fans in the Sherman building parking lot by the Eisenwinter Soccer Field. The Barbeque of grilled hot dogs, polish sausages, chips and drinks are sponsored by the NIC Booster Club, and guest grill masters will include members of NIC President Cabinet and the NIC Booster Club Board.

The tripleheader begins with a women's soccer match-up versus rival Community Colleges of Spokane with a potential battle for first place in the NWAC East Region. The women's match begins at 1:00pm followed by the Men's match-up, also against Spokane at 3:15pm. The Cardinal men defeated the Sasquatch on their home field 1-0 on September 26.

The NIC Volleyball team will complete the Homecoming Triple header with a match against Big Bend Community College at 6:00pm at Christianson Gym. The Lady Cardinals are currently ranked #2 in the NWAC, and are the 2-time defending NWAC East Region Champion!

The homecoming festivities are sponsored by the NIC Booster Club, Associated Students of NIC (ASNIC) and the Coeur d'Alene Casino Resort Hotel and Spa. The CDA Casino will provide Cardinal Pride t-shirts to all event attendees, at the soccer and volleyball matches. The events will also have raffles and prices given out at the volleyball game intermission. Refreshments will be provided prior to the volleyball match as well!

Come out and support the Cardinals in the regular season home finale for soccer, and a playoff tune-up for the Lady Cardinals volleyball!  Free Admission to all NIC students and employees for all intercollegiate athletic events!
