WOMEN'S GOLF: Cardinals women finish 6th

10/03/2018

The Puget Sound Invitational concluded with the women’s team finishing in sixth place. The event was held at both the Olympic and Cascade course at the Gold Mountain Golf Complex in Bremerton, WA.  The Cardinals were the only two year school in a field full of four year universities. Freshman Jessey Simons led the way for the Cardinals with rounds of 89-79 landing her in a T15 finish individually. Freshman Kaylie Hayes also had a top 20 finish at T19.  “It was great to see Jessey have a good bounce back round the final round. That should give her a lot of confidence going forward,” head coach Russell Grove said.

The Cardinals compete again on October 8 & 9th at the Lilac Collegiate Invite hosted at Liberty Lake GC in Liberty Lake, WA.
