The North Idaho College Cardinals lost on the road to the Yakima Valley College Yaks, 1-3. While NIC had most of the possession and 11 shots to YVC's 6, NIC could only manage to score on a Yak own goal and YVC scored on half of their shots.

There second goal started with an outside shot which hit and rebounded off a Cardinals defender bouncing right to Courtney Handlen of the Yaks who put the ball into the NIC net. In the second half NIC got one goal back just 10 minutes into the half. It started on a corner kick from the left corner. Linnea Pretzer drilled a low cross toward the left post where Ellory Ferris received the ball, turned and hit it across the goal mouth where it deflected off of 2 Yak players and into the goal Both Maya Lewis and Pretzer had other good chances on goal, but didn't finish the deal. The final score occurred in the 72 minute as the Cardinals were pushing more players forward. YVC sent a long ball forward and as NIC center back Emmaleah Allen tried to turn the ball up field it struck Handlen and fell straight to her feet at the top of the penalty. She stepped to it and chipped it over NIC's second half keeper, Kari Bromley.
