VOLLEYBALL: Neumann leads Cardinals past Walla Walla in home opener


The Lady Cardinals took on the Warriors from Walla Walla Community College on Tuesday evening for their first home match of the season. The Cardinals won the first two sets 25-14 and 25-17. The Warriors rallied a win in the third set 21-25, but it was the Cardinals that came from behind in the fourth set to win the match 25-23. The Cardinals were able to use their size to their advantage and end the match with a team total of 12 blocks. Kayla Neumann had an outstanding match on the outside with a total of 24 kills and 11 digs. Hailee Etter also played well for the Cardinals with 16 kills and 9 digs. Haylee Templeton did a great job finding holes in the block for the offense to hit through, she finished the match with a total of 51 assists and 16 digs.
