MEN'S GOLF: Men Win Skagit Valley League Match

The men kept their win streak and perfect record for the spring alive with their win on Monday, April 30, at the Skagit Valley NWAC League Match.  The 36 hole event was hosted at Avalon Golf Club in Burlington, WA.  The men played solid the first round and had a 9 stroke lead going into the the final round.  Tough conditions and pin placements frustrated the players but they were able to hold on and win by two shots.  Sophomore Sean Langham led the way for the Cardinals with an individual T4 finish. Freshman Ben Harvey also had a top 10 finish, finishing T7.  "I'm really glad we got off to a good start and played solid the first round," commented Head Coach Russell Grove. "It was really important that we gave ourselves that cushion for the second day because we honestly played terrible as a team the final round.  I guess it's a good sign when we can stumble that much and still come out on top."

The men have a weekend break before heading to Bandon Dunes, OR for the last NWAC League Match of the year.
