WOMEN'S GOLF: NIC finishes third

The Cardinals Women's Golf team ended up taking third place at the North Idaho NWAC League Match concluded this afternoon at Avondale G.C. in Hayden Lake, ID. The conditions were once again very cold, wet and windy, in fact the course in the morning before the tournament was deemed unplayable, however the committee decided to continue the event.  The women shot a two day total team score of 512 and were lead by sophomore Mikal Jerman who shot 82-88 to finish T5 individually.  Madi Brown also had a top 10 finish, finishing T7 one shot behind Jerman. "The big numbers cost us," coach Russell Grove said "Today alone we had 23 doubles or worse as a team.  We have to clean that up and work on our short game to get ready for the next league match."

The Cardinals are back in action at the Skagit Valley League Match on April 29 & 20th at Avalon G.C. in Burlington, WA.
