WOMEN'S GOLF: Cardinals take 4th at Bigfoot Invitational

The Cardinals wrapped up their first event of the spring today finishing fourth place at the Spokane Bigfoot Invitational hosted at The Links G.C. in Post Falls, ID.  The conditions were tough the first day with high winds, rain, and low temperatures.  The women struggled to get things going and found themselves in last place after the first round.  Round two provided some better scoring conditions and the women played much better.  Both Madi Brown and Mackenzie Robins had solid rounds of 78 and 79 respectively. Their improved play helped move them up the leader board to fourth place overall for the event.  Madi Brown led the way for the Cardinals with an individual T5 finish.  "It was great to see Mackenzie put a solid string of holes together (she was only one over par for 14 holes)," Head Coach Russell Grove said. "She's worked hard on her swing the last couple months and its great to see it paying off.  As for our team scores we're just going to have to work harder and put more time in practicing if we're going to win this spring, plain and simple."
