SOFTBALL: NIC splits with Wenatchee Valley College


In game one, the Cardinals came out strong to earn the win 12-1. Megan Carver went 3-4 with one RBI. Kayla Curtan 3-5 with 3 RBI’s. Kalyna Korok had a 3 run home run in the 7th inning. Madi Mott had 8 strike outs on the day earning her 8th win on the season.

In the nightcap, the Cardinals fell short with their offense and dropped game two, 7-9. McKenzie Schaller went 4-5 and Ashlyn Winn had a 3 run home run in the 3rd inning. Taylor Anderson had one hit with 2 RBI’s. Kayla Moore had 4 strike outs in the game. The Cardinals will have their home opener Friday, March 30th vs. Treasure Valley CC at 2pm and Blue Mountain CC on Saturday, March 31st at noon. All home games will be played at Post Falls High School due to Memorial Field still being under construction.
