WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: NIC beats WVC to advance to the NWAC Tournament


The North Idaho College women’s basketball team controlled their own destiny for the NWAC Tournament. By beating Wenatchee Valley College 82-74 on Wednesday, February 28, NIC finished the regular season 19-9 overall and 10-6 in the Eastern Region of the NWAC.  The Lady Cardinals are currently ranked seventh in the 34 team NWAC and are the third seed from the Eastern Region at the NWAC Championship Tournament to be held in Everett, Wash., March 8th and 9th.  Sophomore guard Cierra Dvorak played strong the entire game finishing with 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists.  Sophomores Ronnie Harris and Whitney Meier added 18 and 14 points respectively.  The game was the last home game for sophomores Lana Berg, Cierra Dvorak, Ronnie Harris, Shelby Jordan, Shae Logozzo, Whitney Meier, and Gia Sorn.
