02/15/2018

Big Bend CC upset 3rd-ranked North Idaho College 84-82 Wednesday night at Rolly Williams Court, snapping the Cardinals 6-game NWAC winning streak. Freshman RayQuan Evan’s half-court shot for the win with time expiring was off-line giving the Vikings the victory. Sophomore Aushanti Potts-Woods came off the bench to lead 4 Cards in double-figures with 17 points. Sophomore Tyler Brimhall recorded a double-double 16 points and 10 rebounds while Sophomore Jalen Burkett added 12, Freshman Jarod Greene 10.

Despite the loss, the Cardinals (19-6, 9-3) remain tied with Walla Walla (19-6, 9-3) atop the Eastern Division as the Warriors lost at Yakima Valley 83-81. NIC makes the short trip to Spokane this Saturday to take on the Sasquatch who remain one game behind both the Cardinals and Warriors in the NWAC’s Eastern Division standings.

If you can’t make the game at the Walter S Johnson Sports Center, watch all the action live on NIC’s You Tube channel, nicathletics.com. Tip-off at 4pm.
