WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Lady Cardinals struggle on the road


The North Idaho College Lady Cardinals lost two close ones on the road this past week falling to Treasure Valley Community College 74-69 on January 13 and to Big Bend Community College 79-78 on January 15.  Sophomore point guard Cierra Dvorak produced two quality games with 20 points and 4 steals at TVCC and 24 points, 10 steals, and 7 rebounds at BBCC.  Freshman post Sydney Hovde pulled down 11 rebounds in both games.  She scored 13 points against BBCC and barely missed the double-double with 9 points against TVCC.  At BBCC sophomore Ronnie Harris added 16 points, 5 rebounds and a game high 5 assists.  Sophomore Whitney Meier added 12 points. 

The Lady Cardinals are now 10-6 overall and 1-3 in Eastern Division play.  They host Walla Walla Community College on Wednesday, January 17.  Tip-off is at 6:00 PM and is followed by the men’s game.  All North Idaho College basketball games can be viewed at  Follow @NICWBBALL on Twitter and Like us on Facebook for continuous coverage of the North Idaho College women’s basketball team.
