WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Poor shooting leads to loss

The North Idaho College Lady Cardinals lost 76-61 to Columbia Basin College on Wednesday, January 10.  Uncharacteristically poor shooting percentage plagued NIC the entire game.  The Lady Cardinals shot just 18.8% from the three point line, 57.7% from the free throw line, and 28.6% overall.  Sophomore Ronnie Harris led NIC with 17 points and 6 assists.  Sophomore Whitney Meier added 11 points.  Freshman Sydney Hovde led all players with 15 rebounds.  The Lady Cardinals forced 27 turnovers and attempted 18 more shots than Columbia Basin.

NIC is now 10-3, 1-1 on the season.  They travel to Ontario, Oregon to take on Treasure Valley Community College on Saturday, January 13. Tip-off is at 1:00 P.M. PST and is followed by the men’s game.  All North Idaho College basketball games can be watched at  Follow @NICWBBALL on Twitter and Like us on Facebook for continuous coverage of the North Idaho College women’s basketball team.
