NCAA basketball coach to speak at NIC Booster Club Luncheon


divilbiss Mike Divilbiss, former head women’s basketball coach at the University of Idaho and Lewis-Clark State College, will be the guest speaker at the NIC Booster Club Luncheon at noon Tuesday, Nov. 28, at the Coeur d’Alene Resort.

Divilbiss has coached collegiate basketball at all levels over the past 32 years. As a head coach for 21 seasons at both LCSC and UI, he accumulated 392 wins and made six consecutive trips to the NAIA tournament. During his 4 season at Wisconsin-Green Bay, his team qualified for the NCAA tournament all four years, with wins over Virginia, Iowa State, Arkansas-Little Rock, and Big Ten Champion Michigan State. In 2011, the Phoenix qualified for the NCAA Sweet 16. In 2012, Divilbiss joined the staff at the University of Illinois where the Illini qualified for the NIT Elite 8 in their first season. Divilbiss is currently volunteering his time as an assistant coach on the NIC women’s basketball team.

The NIC Athletics Department will also recognize the NIC volleyball team on their NWAC East Region Championship and successful post season run in the NWAC Conference tournament.
