VOLLEYBALL: Cardinals defeat rival Sasquatch

The Lady Cardinal's defeated Spokane Community College on Wednesday evening in a four set match, 25-18, 29-31, 25-16 and 25-22. The Cardinals came out in second game with several service errors and hitting errors which made it difficult to win the second set. NIC regrouped and stepped back out onto the floor after intermission and competed with confidence. Kayla Nuemann led the team with 20 kills and 10 digs. Haylee Templeton tallied 43 assists and 8 digs. Rachel Leshikar led the team with 16 digs. Halle Hess and Hailee Etter both added 11 kills. “We have been struggling with our consistency lately along with our passing. Without those two we won’t win games. We need to clean up our end of the court and then I think things will come together,” said coach Stanley.

Cardinals will be home Friday for Sophomore night against Columbia Basin College for NWAC East Region title. Come out and support the sophomores as they play one last time at Christianson Gymnasium.
