WOMEN'S SOCCER: Lady Cardinals fall to Spokane

The game against rival CC of Spokane is usually a battle for 90 minutes, but in this game NIC started "flat" and never really found their rhythm as the Sasquatch won 4-1. The goals that were the real back breakers for the Cardinals were when they gave up a goal just before the end of the first half and another one in the first minute of the second half. The Cardinals lone goal came late in the second half. Natalie Goetz received a pass from Ellory Ferris down the right flank of the field. Goetz hit a low cross through the penalty area that was deflected slightly by Aunika Capps and then Zoe Lee pounded the bouncing ball into the net for her 3rd goal of the year.

NIC plays host to Treasure Valley CC on Friday at 2 P.M. and Blue Mountain CC on Saturday at 12:00 P.M.
