Men's Golf finishes 3rd at Pacific Lutheran Invitational


The NIC Men's Golf team finished in 3rd at the Pacific Lutheran University Invitational held at the Home Course in Dupont , WA on September 17-18. The Cardinals led the 14 team tournament after day 1 with a team score of 287. However the wind and rain on day two was tougher to deal with and the Cards came in 13 shots higher to shoot 300. Sean Langham shot 70-76 to tie team mate Todd Henderson (71-75) for 12th place individually.

Willamette University won the tournament with a team score of 577.  Host PLU edged the Cards by 2 strokes to finish 2nd. The Cardinals finished higher than all five NWAC teams entered. Southwestern Oregon CC (589) finished 4th and the Community Colleges of Spokane (594) finished 5th.

The Cardinals return to action on October 1-2 in the NWAC tournament hosted by Olympic Community College in Bremerton, WA.
