WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Lady Cardinals battle, but fall short


The North Idaho College women's basketball team battled strong for forty minutes but lost to Walla Walla Community College 76-67 on Saturday, February 25.  NIC was led by freshman Cierra Dvorak with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman Whitney Meier added 12 points and freshman Eilish Smith scored 12 points off of 4/5 shooting from the three point line. Freshman Kassin Hopkins led NIC in assists with 4 and in steals with 3. WWCC was 23/32 from the free throw line while NIC was only 9/14.

The Lady Cardinals travel to Wenatchee Valley College on Wednesday, March 1.  Tip-off is at 6:00 PM followed by the men at 8:00 PM. All games can be viewed at
