Men's Golf win NIC Invitational

The Cardinal men concluded their first event of the 2016-2017 season in winning fashion capturing both the team and individual titles.  The NIC Invitational was held at Avondale G.C. on Sunday & Monday (October 25 & 26).  The men had a rough start the first day shooting a team total of 306, as a result of the number one player Luke Logan being disqualified for signing an incorrect scorecard.  However the Cardinals bounced back the second day on a tougher course with a score of 298 to take the title by 13 shots over second place Spokane Community College. "I was proud of how the guys bounced back on Monday, all of these guys are capable of shooting great scores and they had to battle with those pins out there," said Head Coach Russell Grove.

Freshman, Ross Gilbert, took individual medalist after winning a playoff on the second hole.  Gilbert had a two day total of 150.
